Day 1

Arrive to Tashkent. Transfer to hotel for overnight.

Day 2

After breakfast at the hotel transfer to airport for morning flight to Urgench. Arrive in Urgench and transfer to Khiva.

Khiva is the most intact and most remote of Central Asia’s Silk Road cities, the final destination from modern Tashkent to medieval slave town.

Visit:

• Mohammed Amin Khan Madrassah (1852–1855)
• Kelte Minor (“Short minaret”)
• Kunya Ark (Old Fortress)

Pakhlavan Mahmud Mausoleum – Pakhlavan Mahmud the Hercules of the East... became the adopted patron of Khiva.

Also visit:

• Islam Khoja Madrassah (1908) and Minaret (1910)
• Juma Mosque (1788)

PM visit Tosh Howli (Stone House).

Overnight at hotel.

Day 3

After breakfast drive through Kyzyl Kum desert (480 km, M-37) to Bukhara.

Villages in Khorezm oasis change to desert with sand dunes. One fifth of the road goes along Amudarya River. Stop for photos.

Arrive in Bukhara. PM start excursions.

Visit:

• Poi Kalon Ensemble
• Mir-I-Arab Madrassah
• Kalon Jummi Mosque
• Kalon Minaret

Also visit:

• Taqi Zargaron
• Taqi Telpak Furushon
• Taqi Sarrafon

Magok-I-Atori Mosque and Lyabi Hauz Ensemble.

Overnight at hotel.

Day 4

Continue visits:

• Ark fortress
• Bolo Hauz Mosque (1712)
• Ismoil Samani Mausoleum
• Chashma Ayub

PM drive to Samarkand.

Overnight at hotel.

Day 5

Visit:

• Gur Emir
• Reghistan square
• Bibi Khanym Mosque
• Siab market

PM visit:

• Shakhi Zinda
• Ulugbek Observatory
• Afrasiab ruins and museum

Overnight at hotel.

Day 6

Drive back to Tashkent.

Visit:

• Tashkent Old city
• Kukeldash Madrassah
• Khodja Akhrar Mosque

Then:

• Mausoleum of Zaynutdun Bobo
• Khast Imam Square
  • Barak Khan Madrassah
  • Tillya Sheykh Mosque
  • Kafal Shashi Mausoleum

Also visit Chorsu bazaar.

Transfer to airport.
